Laughter Is The Best Medicine: People’s Bad Days That Are Making Us Feel Better About Our Own Misfortunes

Ah, the classic misreading of words in class. I’m no stranger to that. I remember when I was sitting in my literature class, and the professor discussed a passage from a novel we were reading. I confidently raised my hand and began to share my interpretation of the “moral of the stork.”

I was met with confused looks from my classmates and a bewildered professor. It took a moment before I realized I had misread “story” as “stork.” Suffice it to say; my face turned beet red as I tried to backtrack and save face. I don’t think I’ve ever lived that one down!
