#35: Giuseppe Graviano
Giuseppe Graviano is a Sicilian Mafia boss tied to some of Italy’s worst acts of terror in the 1990s. A member of the Corleonesi clan, he helped orchestrate bombings in Florence, Milan, and Rome that killed civilians and shook Italy’s government.

Graviano rose to power under “Toto” Riina’s violent leadership and continued the Mafia’s war against the state. He was arrested in 1994 and sentenced to multiple life terms. Even behind bars, he’s believed to retain influence within Cosa Nostra’s ranks — a reminder of how deeply rooted the Mafia remains in Italian life.
