#20: William Howard Taft Got Stuck in the White House Bathtub
William Howard Taft, the largest U.S. president, famously got stuck in the White House bathtub. He supposedly wedged himself in so tightly that multiple aides had to help extract him. The embarrassment led to the installation of an enormous custom tub big enough for several grown men.

It’s a legendary presidential anecdote, partly silly, partly sympathetic. Taft had a sense of humor about it, but the story stuck to him forever — the kind of fact that overshadows policy and diplomacy simply because it’s so bizarre and visual. One unlucky bath turned into myth-level trivia.
