#14: Danish Pastries
Danish pastries may contain fruit, nuts, or cream cheese, giving them the appearance of a more substantial breakfast. In reality, the small amount of filling rarely balances the sweet dough, sugary glaze, and added fats.

Because they are low in fiber and protein, Danish pastries may not keep you satisfied for very long. Their sugar and refined flour can also cause blood glucose to rise quickly. Try whole-grain toast with cottage cheese and fresh fruit for similar creamy and sweet flavors with better nutrition.
