#20: Bear Claws
Bear claws are large pastries typically filled with almond paste, fruit, or another sweet mixture. Their size and filling can make them feel more like a complete breakfast, even though they are primarily made from refined dough, sugar, and fat.

One bear claw may contain several servings and can be especially high in calories and added sugar. It also offers little fiber or lasting protein. For an almond-flavored alternative, spread almond butter on whole-grain toast and add sliced pear or apple.
