#41: Breakfast Cookies
Breakfast cookies are marketed as a portable alternative to cereal or toast. Oats, fruit, and whole-grain claims can make them seem far healthier than ordinary cookies, even when the ingredient lists are remarkably similar.

Many contain added sugar, refined flour, oils, and very little protein. That combination may provide quick energy without keeping you full until lunch. Choose plain oatmeal, a lower-sugar homemade oat cookie, or whole-grain toast with nut butter and fruit instead.
